The Young Turks talk show has only one Turk

The Young Turks
On youtube I came across some videos for “The Young Turks.” It is an interesting talk show where they discuss a variety of news and political topics. The Young Turks is also broadcast weeknights on Current TV which is also home to Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

According to The Young Turks (TYT) website:

“The Young Turks is the largest online news show in the world, covering politics, pop culture and lifestyle.  The show is one of the Top 50 You Tube Partners, with over 30 million views a month and half a BILLION total video views on The Young Turks YouTube Channel.

The Young Turks received a 2011 People's Voice Webby Award for Best News & Politics: Series, 2011 News/Politics Shorty Award, and Best Political Podcast 2009 at the Podcast Awards and Best Political News Site 2009 at the Mashable Awards.

The Young Turks is the flagship show of the TYT Network, which includes What the Flick?!, TYT University, TYT Sports, TYT Interviews, TYT Shows and The Top Vlog.”

The show’s team members (Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, Ben Mankiewicz, Michael Shure, Brian Unger, Wes Clark, Jr., RJ Eskow, Dave Koller, Jesus Godoy, Jayar Jackson, Andrew Napier) seem to be all young which may account for the Name, The Young Turks,

The show was created by CENK YUGUR who is also the primary host of the show. Cenk Uygur was born in Istanbul, Turkey and moved to the United States at very early age with his family. He appears to be the ONLY TURK in the show called “The Young Turks.”
